Last year, band Brinkman released a single called Kirsten Dunst. Now, Peter Doherty's post-libertine band Babyshambles also decided to write a song called Kirsten Dunst.

Coming soon! New Babyshambles LP
Artists: Babyshambles

Babyshambles announced details of their second album about five hours ago. After some deliberation, we've decided to run it as a newsy.

The record, which at the time of 'press' remains untitled, was produced by Stephen Street and will be out to buy sometime in the autumn; which, if seasonal shifts continue to occur, could be at 8pm tonight or December '09.

A weather joke! Ya get me?! Here's what's on it:

'Carry On Up The Morning'
'Delivery'
'You Talk'
'Unbilotitled'
'Side Of The Road'
'Crumb Begging'
'Unstookietitled'
'French Dog Blues'
'Kirsten Dunst'
'There She Goes'
'Baddies' Boogie'
'Deft Left Hand'
'The Lost Art Of Murder'
'Kirsten Dunst (reprise)'

That's about the sixth song named Kirsten Dunst now.  I don't particularly like any of the ones I've heard so far, and none of them do her justice, but it's the thought that counts I suppose.

I've only heard "Caroline" for now. Written for Kirsten:

...
All those are parts of a game
Caroline, never bleed again
...

And also Academy Award-Actress "Don't Cry" has lots of songs called with her name. Tongue Tongue Tongue
 Wink

A song for Spider-Man:

...
Fly over someone else's sky
Sometimes being a hero is not enough
Deserving love wants more
...

I was just wondering about this babyshambles song, cos its quite well documented that Pete Doherty and Johnny Borrell don't get on, cos Johnny was in the Libertines way back before they had a record deal, and John Hassle was not sure if he wanted to be part of the band or not...... The Borrell left cos he was assured a contract with what is now known as Razorlight, so I'm wondering whether the babyshambles song could be a dig at the couple??? I could be way off, and they may well have made up but from waht I last recall, they hard a barney when they were both at the reading festival either last year or the 1 before.

I hope it is a good song dedicated to Kiki, and its not some petty squable cos i like both Babyshambles (although preferred the Libertines) and Razorlight, keep fingers crossed i suppose.
