I've just joined the message board, brand new! I am a seamstress and I make small scale costumes, sometimes called doll costumes (because they fit dolls). I am know as Cinema-Fantasy. Here is a link to my site: http://www.elvenhippiegypsy.com/cinema-fantasy.html I just finished working on a 1/6 scale costume that was inspired by Kirsten's Claudia character from Interview with the Vampire. The blue silk bustle gown. Here is a photo:

the title of it is: La Petite Fille Vampire (the little girl Vampire), "The Dressing Room". I'm shortening that to "The Dressing Room" when it goes on eBay Sep 22nd 2007.

I've been a fan of Kirsten since she showed up in Interview all those years ago, and I really enjoyed her performance in Marie Antoinette. I also made a costume from that film Titled "Paris Masquerade". You can check that out here: http://www.elvenhippiegypsy.com/ParisMasquerade.html

Kirsten is one of my all time favorite actresses, and I always look forward to seeing her films.

Well, thanks for having me here on the message board, and see you around online!

Greetings,

Lovely work!  If I was one to play with dolls, I would be all over this.

I think some of her best outfits were in The Cat's Meow - have you seen that movie?

How about her cheerleading outfit from Bring It On!

Great work and good luck!

Cheers,

Thank you for the compliment! the creations I make aren't just for the doll collector, I do make little dress forms that display the costumes so that you can just display the whole thing as a collectible in and of itself! But to date, most of my customers have been doll collectors. I LOVED Cat's Meow. She had pretty good chemistry wih Eddie, which was an odd combo too. I adore Eddie though (he played Charile C.). I also made one of KiKi's costumes from Marie Antionette..the black masquerade ball one. Here is the link to the page for it.

and, I also made a costume study page for people who might want to make this one for themselves..oh and I did make one for the blue Claudia dress as well.. here are the links to the pages:

I really like her in period costume films, she is so elegant all by herself she just seems to fit right into any period that she is supposed to be a part of.

here is the link to number 1 of 3 of Claudia's blue bustle gown available on eBay:

Thanks for looking~
