like prkctyguy  said I would do all those things pull the chair out for to sit down in etc. But I would also light her smoke for her even though I don't smoke. If there was a candle on the table i would use that. I would then ask her about growing up in nj

Maybe she needs a change in her life. I would take some minutes about:

I would ask her if she was ever diving in her life.
If you dive, if you swim under water - in warm coral water like in Egypt - you get some feelings, a  happyness what its not easy to describe - you feel like a fish, its warm, fishes are swimming with you and you with them, trough corals of all colours - its completely another world.

Second I would suggest her to visit one time in her life the arctic circle. Not some place, but Rovaniemi - official home of Santa Claus, where childreen get big eyes and can not stop to wounder, the snow castle in Kemi and live some days with the Inuit in north Finland.
Sondra, if you read this - I suppose youre from Sweden, maybe you will understand what I mean.
This people who walk trough winter snow with their animals, living together as part of nature - they showed me what is real important in life.
And if you stand in nowhere in middle of snow and nowhere - no tree, no house, nithing, only snow and ice, there it is so silent and after a while you start to feel - to feel an inner calm.

No matter where Kirsten is now, and even on the best therapy - no one can get her this calm - only nature of arctic can do this.
