Hi there,

I am currently collecting audience research data for a critical research study on Women And Film, specifically on Sofia Coppola films and the portrayal of her leading female characters for my A level media studies course.
Seeing as Kirsten plays leading roles in The Virgin Suicides and Marie Antoinette I've decided to try and build up a better audience profile and other opinions from her fans!

If you would like to answer even just a few of the questions below that would be great.

1. If you had to choose, what would be your favourite moment in either the Virgin Suicides or Marie Antoinette?

2. Have you seen any other Sofia Coppola films, and if so what were your thoughts?

3. What is it that appeals to you about Kirsten Dunst?

4. Do you have any other favourite female actors?

5. Please select your age bracket: (15-25) (25-35) (35-45) (45-50) (50+)

6. Please select your gender: Male/Female

7. Roughly how many films do you watch on a monthly basis?

Thank you for your time,

Miles.

well ill go first then  Wink

1. If you had to choose, what would be your favourite moment in either the Virgin Suicides or Marie Antoinette?

The very opening scene in Marie Antoinette is great for me, when Kiki's sat in the chair and having her feet done i think, its the look she gives the camera, ace. Helps with the opening song too, makes the scen even better. Although on a whole, think Virgin Suicides is the better film.

2. Have you seen any other Sofia Coppola films, and if so what were your thoughts?

Actually, don't think I have from what i can remember. I've seen Godfather III which she was in, and think she had something to do with the production or directing but I'm not 100% sure. Either way, if it was a 1 off, its ok but having seen and own Godfather part I & II its a very weak follow up.

3. What is it that appeals to you about Kirsten Dunst?

Everything about her, she's gorgeous, down to earth, quirky, a great actress and always seems to make me fall in love with her character, and i can imagine that she's a wonderful person to be around.

4. Do you have any other favourite female actors?

Hmmm, i like Sarah Michelle Gellar, Nicole Kidman probably a few more, but noone matches up to Kiki

5. Please select your age bracket: (15-25) (25-35) (35-45) (45-50) (50+)

25-35

6. Please select your gender: Male/Female

Male

7. Roughly how many films do you watch on a monthly basis?

eeek tough question, it varies but i'd think generally maybe just into double figures, i think  Cheesy

Aaaaaah i knew there was another 1 i've seen, i forget that she did that. I liked that film too, my wife wasn't too hot on seeing that but I saw it on film4 about a year ago and thought it was a great film.

1. If you had to choose, what would be your favourite moment in either the Virgin Suicides or Marie Antoinette?

Hard to choose any scene in these two, Kirsten's great in every single scene! But if I have to choose, it will be the whole Petit Trianon part and the "Am I here" scene in Marie Antoinette.

2. Have you seen any other Sofia Coppola films, and if so what were your thoughts?

I've seen Godfather III and of course Lost In Translation. The former is the weakest in the Godfather trilogy, and Sofia was basically acting herself. But She proves herself to be a great director.I actually really liked LIT. Like all Sofia directed features, it's subtle, moody and absorbing. Murray is flat-out hilarious and Johansson proves herself as a capable actress.

3. What is it that appeals to you about Kirsten Dunst?

Everything. Her talents, her personality, her truthfulness, and of course her smile and dimples.

4. Do you have any other favourite female actors?

Julianne Moore, Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Kate winslet

5. Please select your age bracket: (15-25) (25-35) (35-45) (45-50) (50+)

15-25

6. Please select your gender: Male/Female

Female

7. Roughly how many films do you watch on a monthly basis?

umm, it depends how many spare time do I have. At least 10 I think.
