Drug Use

Just read this article:
http://www.starpulse.com/news/index.php/2007/04/09/kirsten_dunst_admits_she_likes_smoking_m
I don't know if it's true, but I certainly hope not.

I'm slightly skeptical, given its a starpulse article without a dateline (story attributed to one reporter).

I posted this to the shoutbox a few days ago, but I'm very skeptical. Someone made an addition to Kirsten's Wikipedia article linking to that site, and at the time, it was the only site carrying the "story", and for some reason it doesn't look very credible. That said, it seems like a popular site but the article doesn't talk about who interviewed Kirsten, why, when, etc. Seems very dubious.
All that said, if Kirsten enjoys a mixup every now and again then all the more power to her.

Actually the comments are from an interview Kirsten did last month with a UK newspaper/magazine journalist.
Strangely enough these comments were 'buried away' in the interview and the headline for the piece made no reference to it.
Kirsten has said in a more recent interview when asked about it 'I won't defend what I said, but I'm not going to say anything further about it'.
As Roswell probably remembers we've touched on this subject in the past at the forum. I don't think Kirsten's revelation is a major surprise, well not to me at least.
What is a bit surprising is the timing of it. I could kind of understand her saying it if she was promoting The Debbie Harry film for instance but not when doing an interview to promote Spider-Man 3.

Strangely me neither, but I don't know why. We've all seen photos of Kirsten smoking and drinking. Perhaps drink and drugs just go together nowadays, I'm not sure.

I don't really believe that....
I think we would have known if it was true... Not from Kirsten directly but from other papers or website.
This is not the kind of informations people keep for themselves

Whether the article is factually correct or not, it seems to me to be a view of a liberal person on one of the most talked about (and exhausted) subject in the news/politics/media. And i would have to say that i agree with what was 'said' in the article. Kirsten is a very liberal person from what i can see so it wouldn't surprise me if she had come out and said that. Whether she actually did or not is a different matter.

I know what you mean about drinking/drugs etc appearing to go together in society. I guess it does suprise me. I don't know. I guess based on those comments she made a few years ago about not liking with drugs did to her after she tried them. Then again she changed her position on smoking too. It's her choice and as long as she's happy I guess that's the main thing.

I hope all she uses is the herb. Its better than alot of the pills pushed out there and certainly better than booze and nicotine. Nobody ever died directly from using weed yet folks die from alcohol poising, prescription drugs and cancer from smoking by the thousands everyday. I'm glad she dropped it like that-count it another reason why I think shes totally rad.

she's a millionaire 25year old hollywood actress, seeing a popstar, i'd be surprised and slightly disappointed if she wasn't dabbling in drugs. I also sell class A and B drugs so kirsten if you're reading this...i'll do you a deal.

yeah i did here this a couple of weeks back, it was in a newspaper my friend had, and she told me about it knowing i'm a fan of kiki's. I'm sure a majority of people have tried weed before, not everybody I know. But like said above there are more people dying through alcohol related issues than smoking a littlebit of dope now and again.
As long as she's not being stupid and using needles and the such, i don't see it being a major problem.
