i've bought the new dvd 'spider-man 2.1'!
it's about 8 minutes longer and in my impression better edited.
some scenes are longer and new film material is used.
it's worth to buy it!!!

And are those new scenes full of Kiki?
I already have the DVD but only 2.0, so I am hesitating...

Greetings,
Several of the new scenes have Kiki, including one entire scene cut from the movie.
Much of the new footage is short segments from scenes already in the movie - some of these seem crucial to the story and I cannot believe they were removed! Others are short, did not add to the story much and you can see why they were deleted.
One scene, which I will not give away involving JJ Jameson and the discarded Spidey suit is worth the cost of the DVD by itself!!
Overall, Spider-Man 2.1 is WAY better than Spider-Man 2!!
Cheers,
- rsvpjrdot

Can you describe the scenes a bit? I have SM2 already but I can't bring myself to buy a 2.1 version just for a few extra short(?) scenes.

the extra scenes aren't so short. the scene in the elevator is complete different.
some scenes are longer now, for example when peter delivered the pizzas at the beginning.
then a complete new scene with mj talking to her friend from the theater-cast
and more action scenes are in the film.
i think rsvpjrdot is making screencaps of the new scene with mj.

I must say I much preferred the elevator scene from the theatrical cut.

I don't think so...
But the 2.1 has just been released a few weeks ago, that's why you could have missed it...
