Actress KIRSTEN DUNST has been granted a restraining order against an intruder who was found on her estate last month (19Nov08).
Dunst wasn't at home when the trespasser, Christopher Smith, was apprehended and escorted off the property.
The star maintains Smith has trespassed on her land before.
In court documents Dunst states, "Mr. Smith has repeatedly shown up uninvited at my place of residence in Los Angeles, going so far as to ignore police warnings, bypass my personal security measures, trespass on my property, and attempt to gain entry into my home.
"Mr. Smith is apparently mentally ill, and, although he has never met me, believes that he has some sort of spiritual connection with me."
She adds, "Mr. Smith's sudden, aggressive and harassing efforts to contact me are extremely frightening. I fear not only for my own personal safety, but also for the safety and well being of my housemate and assistant."
Los Angeles police have confirmed they did apprehend an intruder at Dunst's home.
In his statement to police, Smith revealed he's in love with the star, adding, "I connected with Kirsten spiritually, I felt like I connected with her and she connected with me. Now I don't know if she did, I guess you have to ask her if she connected."
In court papers, Dunst claims Smith was found on her property after her assistant informed him that the actress was not home via the intercom at the front gate.
He later knocked on her front door and attempted to gain access to the actress' home.
Dunst claimed the intrusion was the fourth in two days.

Dunst gave an account of one incident on Nov. 19 at around 7:00 p.m., when she said Smith used the intercom at her property's front gate and spoke with her housemate and assistant, who informed him that the actress was not home. About 20 minutes later, Dunst said Smith either squeezed through or climbed over the front gate and trespassed on her property, knocked on her door and attempted to gain access to the home.
Dunst said her assistant was forced to slam the door on him and then contacted her security personnel and the police department.
According to an arrest report, police said Dunst's assistant told them Smith's unwelcome visit on Nov. 19 was the fourth in two days. When the assistant confronted Smith and asked how he had gotten past the front gate, he responded with a smirk: "By sliding through the gate."
The actress wrote she is "quite frightened" of Smith, whom she has never met.
Records do not indicate whether Smith has an attorney. He is due in court later this month on a trespassing charge. Dunst's restraining order could be made extended on Dec. 22.
