It seems that Kirsten and Orlando Bloom will join Clive Owen in "Cities"

http://www.tracking-board.com/orlando-bloom-and-kirsten-dunst-set-to-reunite-in-clive-owen-starrer-cities/

and also in the Mira Nair new movie "The Reluctant Fundamenatlist"

http://www.mumbaimirror.com/index.aspx?page=article&sectid=2&contentid=20110622201106220340081265f79cad

I hope it's true...

Hmm Kirsten has now been linked with four films. She's either going to be very busy filming soon or some of these reports just aren't true. If I was a betting man I know which of these two options my money would be on.

David O. Russell Testing Actresses for ‘Fighter’ Follow-Up: Elizabeth Banks; Kirsten Dunst; Blake Lively, More

The next few days may very well determine which actress gets the golden ticket to star in The Silver Linings Playbook, director David O Russell’s follow-up to his Oscar-winning comeback film, The Fighter.

The Weinstein Co. movie again reteams Russell with his Fighter star Mark Wahlberg in the story of a man who suffers from a mental collapse and is released from a health facility determined to find the silver linings in his life.

The hot Hollywood role of the moment is that of a depressed woman who, when her husband dies, goes on a sexual spree, even at the cost of her job. She befriends the man and becomes his love interest.

According to insiders, Russell is intensely screen-testing the following in-demand actresses in Los Angeles starting today and going into the weekend: Elizabeth Banks, Kirsten Dunst, Blake Lively, Rooney Mara, Rachel McAdams, Andrea Riseborough and Olivia Wilde.

Sources also say Jennifer Lawrence may be in the running as well but that is unclear.

Russell is eyeing an August start date.

With Kirsten's rather spontaneously recent projects, you'd never know what's next for her, just saying.

What's interesting is that at the Westway 'Tabloid' afterparty, Morris, the director of this documentary, said that a Hollywood movie version of it is being considered by studios, and Kirsten was here that night and told him and several journalists that she wanted to play the lead character.

Just wanted throw this out there. Who knows...

Thanks for the info gkfi. I wonder which of these possible projects Kirsten will end up doing next...or will it be something else entirely?

Given Kirsten's track records during the past 2-3 years, I'd bet on something else entirely. Grin
Also, seems like The Silver Linings Playbook has set its eyes on Jennifer Lawrence already.

It’s kind of like Bourne Ultimatum meets Assault On Precinct 13. ‘Cities’, which is movie starring Clive Owen, Kirsten Dunst, and Orlando Bloom, being Directed by Roger Donaldson. ‘Last Passenger’ which I am casting and co-Producing which is a low budget but effects heavy Hitchcock style runaway train movie and also a 13 part series of ‘Sinbad’ for SKY TV.

Well according to the following interview either Kirsten has forgotten about this film or it's going to start shooting a lot later than that article suggests.

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/09/18/movies/kirsten-dunst-handles-melancholia-disaster-with-aplomb.html

To me the film Kirsten mentions doesn't really sound like it's likely to be "Cities" or any of the other films she has been linked with.

Unless it's Lars next film.....  Grin Shocked Tongue Wink

Based on the nytimes interview, I'd bet it's not Cities that fits Kirsten's description of her next project. Would be really interesting if it's Lars' next film. Shocked

It's probably a film we haven't even heard of yet.

However if it is Lars next film then I guess it's possible Kirsten might not be playing the lead role in it. Grin

Then again I might be incorrectly assuming what Kirsten meant by her "My dad can't see this film" comment.

No "The Reluctant Fundamentalist" for Kirsten, but maybe her January project is "Sidney Hall" alongside Jim Sturgess again!!!

Jim Sturgess has been linked with that film since 2009. I might be completely wrong but I wonder if that site accidently linked Kirsten with it too when they were cast together in "Upside Down".

I still think it'll be a film Kirsten hasn't yet been linked with (and probably one I know nothing about either. Grin)

However if it is one of the films Kirsten has been linked with (and based on what she said in the New York Times interview) then my money would be on a film based on the "Tabloid" documentary.

I guess we now know for sure Kirsten won't be in Trier's next project. Asked if there was any truth to the rumor, Dunst told Digital Spy: "No, I'm not working with him on his next film, but I would work with him again."

I can't say I'm surprised to hear that.  Grin

However here is some actual news about this film. On thursday Kirsten recorded a radio interview for the Edith Bowman Show, which is broadcast every saturday morning on BBC radio 1. Part of the interview aired this morning & the rest of the interview will be aired next saturday.

Anyway during the interview Kirsten was asked about her upcoming films. She mentioned "Upside Down", "On The Road" & "Bachelorette" (which she confirmed will be renamed & possibly with a title her mum had come up with!). She also mentioned that after she finished promoting "Melancholia" she was taking 3 months off before starting a new film in January.

Kirsten wouldn't give any details about the film itself. However she described it as "weird" & said it would co-star Mark Ruffalo & Billy Crudup.

Now I think it's well know that Mark Ruffalo is one of Kirstens favourite actors & personally I'm delighted to see the two of them working together again.

I've checked all the possible upcoming projects the three of them have been linked with & none of these films seem to fit Kirstens use of the word "weird" or her earlier comment "I can't have my dad see this movie".

Quick edit/update: As this is now a confirmed film I've started a new topic/thread for it.
